The O’Brien Family to Host Halloween at Government House

ANNAPOLIS, MD (October 29, 2027) – Governor Edward M. O’Brien, Maryland First Lady Ruth O’Brien and their children invite children and parents to visit Government House for the annual “No Tricks – Just Treats” Halloween festivities on Sunday, October 31 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The O’Brien family will hand out trick-or-treat bags and safety-related coloring books during the event.

“Our family is looking forward to hosting its first Halloween celebration for kids at Government House,” said First Lady Ruth O’Brien.

Verizon Wireless has donated coloring books complete with puzzles, games, and illustrations on deciphering the nature of an emergency, the proper officials to contact in the event of an emergency, a space for recording helpful emergency and non-emergency telephone numbers, and the proper maintenance to ensure that a telephone remains in working order.

During the reception, children will be invited to walk through pumpkin filled halls to the dining room where they will each receive a bag of Halloween candy.

Government House, the official residence of Maryland’s First Family, is located just across from the State House in Annapolis. Sunday’s festivities require no entrance fee.
